Leadership
Pastors Who Want to Point People to Christ
Leadership at Fidelis Christian Church is meant to be pastoral, prayerful, and accountable to the Word of God. We want our pastors to serve the church by opening Scripture, strengthening the saints, and helping people fix their eyes on Jesus Christ.

Teaching Pastor
Pastor Kurt Thorne
Kurt Thorne has served Fidelis Church faithfully for over a decade, giving himself to the ministry of the Word with a desire to teach Scripture clearly, faithfully, and pastorally. His burden is to help people know God as He has revealed Himself in His Word, understand the gospel of Jesus Christ, and grow into maturity through truth, prayer, repentance, and obedient faith.
At Fidelis, biblical teaching is not treated as religious information alone, but as living truth that calls people to real response. Kurt’s ministry reflects that conviction. He seeks to open the Scriptures in a way that is Christ-centered, doctrinally sound, accessible to ordinary people, and useful for real life. His teaching is shaped by the conviction that God is faithful, His Word is true, and His people must be strengthened by both grace and truth.
In a world marked by confusion, spiritual dryness, and instability, Kurt’s ministry aims to hold out the steady hope of God’s faithfulness and the life-giving truth of Christ. His long service at Fidelis reflects a deep commitment to the church, to sound doctrine, and to helping people find living water in dry places through the faithful teaching of God’s Word.

Worship Pastor
Pastor Sammy De Angelis
Sammy De Angelis has served Fidelis Church faithfully for over a decade, helping lead the congregation in worship with a heart for Christ, Scripture, prayer, and the gathered life of the church. His desire is not simply to lead songs, but to help God’s people respond to the truth of who He is with reverence, joy, gratitude, and faith.
At Fidelis, worship is understood as more than music. It is the believing, obedient response of the whole church to the glory of God revealed in Jesus Christ. Sammy’s ministry reflects that conviction. He helps create a worship environment that is Christ-centered, biblically grounded, spiritually sincere, and shaped by the faithfulness of God rather than performance or religious show.
In a dry and restless world, Sammy serves to help point people to the living water found in Christ. His long service at Fidelis reflects a steady commitment to the church, to the Word of God, and to leading worship in a way that strengthens believers and welcomes people into the presence of the Lord with honesty and hope.
